TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
The Vinyl
The labels are black & silver with '(p)1971' print. Note the 'Tonny' Visconti producer credit misprint is printed both sides, which was quickly recalled by Mercury & pressed again almost immediately.
There are heavy spindle marks to show play by the centre hole, but the labels are bright & clear with no writing or tears.
The vinyl grades Very Good & there are multiple paper scuffs & faint cosmetic wear, with the occasional hairline mark both sides. The vinyl plays without fault, albeit with some light background surface in the quieter sections. This one is now a serious collectors item for the Bowie fan looking to invest & should be stored carefully.
The musical content featured on this album does not differ in any way from the countless reissues on both vinyl and CD, & so a highly playable copy of this album can easily be found.
Sleeve
The unique, withdrawn picture sleeve to this album is legendary and the major selling point here. This particular cover is now extremely difficult to find as an original, & when & if found, it is usually found ripped, torn or excessively worn due to its fragile nature and texture.
The front of the sleeve has clear colours, the texture is fine. There is some light shelfwear & scuffs but mostly around the edges. There is no writing & no splits. The spine's edge & corners reveal some minor scuffs & the spine's text remains clearly legible. Both panels are nice & clean & the design is strong & vivid. This is an Excellent example of an increasingly rare & desirable cover design & one of the best we have found in ages.
Note, the original cover is matt & finely textured (like wallpaper). The spine has is printed top to bottom, correctly. The clock on the mantlepiece is visible & Bowie's foot is clearly in shot.
The original '71' dated inner bag is present & correct & in Excellent condition.
With so many good counterfeits of this sleeve on the market, we are pleased to be able to offer this GENUINE article here, so you can buy with confidence !
A wonderful item & increasingly in demand, this is the jewel in any Bowie collection.
