THE SMITHS William It Was Really Nothing (Very scarce 1987 issue UK
Rough Trade 2-track solid centre 7" vinyl single backed with How Soon
Is Now. The song is popularly believed to have been written by
Morrissey about his friend Billy Mackenzie, lead singer ofThe Associates,
with whom he was rumoured to be romantically linked. Housed in a
mauve tinted picture sleeve featuring Billie Whitelaw as Lottie from the
1968 movie 'Charlie Bubbles', directed by Albert Finney. The sleeve has
a small stickermark in the top right corner, but the vinyl is in near mint condition. This issue has now become increasingly hard to find and much rarer than the original issue RT166).
