MILES DAVIS Kind Of Blue (1995 US reissue on stereo
9-track double LP pressed on 200gram
Vinyl - an authentic remastering which corrects a
mechanical problem that occurred during the recording
process. Sony engineers determined the tape machine used to
produce Side 1 of the original record was running 1¼ percent
too slow. When the tape was played back at 15
inches-per-second for the transfer to the production master,
the pitch was too fast! Sides 1 & 2 present the album at its
original speed and Side 3 with the first 3 songs at the
correct speed for the first time ever on LP. As a
bonus, Side 4 presents an alternate take of 'Flamenco
Sketches' transfered at 45rpm for increased fidelity.
Heavyweight gatefold sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal
shelfwear with a mild crease to the top left hand corner whilst
the vinyl looks barely played. A fantastic addition to this
legendary Jazz masterpiece CS8163)
