TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
More Details
This was the first stereo issue from June 1967, the first time that a Beatles album appeared in the same format as its UK counterpart. The only exception to this is that the US copies exclude the 'dog whistle' tone & run out groove tune of the UK release.
The West Coast sleeve is characterised by the wider yellow 'Stereo' band at the top of the front cover.
Condition
The sleeve is graded as Very Good, showing minimal storage wear but does have a split to the top of the sleeve, and as mentioned no 'NEMS' credit or 'All Rights' text on the back, indicating first press.
Matrices:
SMAS-1-2653-A-10 (hand-scratched Side 1)
SMAS-2-2653-A-10 (hand-scratched Side 2)
The rainbow rim labels show have no 'Subsidiary of Capitol' perimeter text & the second song title is incorrectly listed as 'A Little Help'. This West Coast first issue press has the opening song printed above the centre hole.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition with just a coupe of very light inaudible surface scuffs to show for its forty eight years. A very nice complete copy of the first US stereo issue, which astonishingly also remains in the original opened shrink.
