The Southern-flavored quartet from El Cerrito, California turned out 17 hits in a 44-month stretch, nine of them in the Top 10, five of them in the Top 5! 'I used to say in 1968 that I wanted tomake records they would still play on the radio in ten years,' frontman John Fogerty said in early 1993, on the eve of Creedence Clearwater Revival's induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Forty years later, the music sounds as fresh and vital as ever! Includes the classics 'Suzie Q', 'Bad Moon Rising' and 'Proud Mary', alongside the super-rare 1970 promo-only '45 Revolutions Per Minute' single; each single is housed in a reproduction of its original picture sleeve, and 28 of the 30 cuts are presented in their original mono mix! Also included is a deluxe 40-page booklet packed with info and rare photos, all packaged together in a deluxe 7½" x 7½" box. The box displays some minor wear to the corners and edges, but has no splits or rips, and the conent all remains in a really nice condition)
