STAN GETZ Big Band Bossa Nova (2018 UK/EU issue of the landmark 1962 8-track stereo LP, expertly remastered and pressed on high-quality vinyl. Originally released on Verve and arranged & conducted by the legendary Gary McFarland, this album finds Stan Getz embracing the then-emerging Bossa Nova craze, backed by a dynamic big band including the talents of Jim Hall, Hank Jones, and Clark Terry, among others.
Includes standout performances such as Manhã de Carnaval, Chega de Saudadeand Bim Bom – a perfect balance between Getz’s lyrical saxophone tone and lush orchestral arrangements.
Housed in a deluxe matte gatefold picture sleeve with detailed liner notes and personnel credits printed inside. The sleeve displays very little wear and remains in Excellent condition, while the vinyl appears barely played and remains in Near Mint condition throughout)
