MIKE OLDFIELD Voyager (2025 UK/EU 10-track LP, pressed on 180-gram Purple Vinyl. The seventeenth studio album, originally released in 1996 and finds the composer exploring Celtic tradition more directly than ever before. Blending original compositions with re-imagined traditional melodies and 20th-century pieces, the album is rich in atmosphere and texture. Initially recorded with hand-played acoustic instruments before later layering synthesizers and additional instrumentation. Highlights include the single 'Women of Ireland', the traditional 'She Moves Through the Fair' which was later echoed in Simple Minds' 'Belfast Child', and the haunting 'Celtic Rain', which would go on to be sampled by Snoop Dogg in 2008. Limited to only 1000 copies, housed in a gold foil numbered picture sleeve with hype-sticker)
